Background
The VYV Group is a leading mutual organization in France, specializing in health and social protection. Formed in 2017 through the merger of major mutual insurance companies, it provides comprehensive services including health insurance, social care, and housing solutions. With over 11 million members and 45,000 employees, VYV emphasizes solidarity, innovation, and accessible healthcare for all.
Core problem
The VYV Group's digital platform faced significant accessibility and usability challenges. The current version was not fully accessible to all users, particularly those with disabilities or limited digital literacy. This exclusion contradicted VYV's core mission of providing inclusive health and social protection services.
Additionally, the claim declaration process was cumbersome and failed to meet key heuristic criteria for user experience. Users encountered difficulties navigating the system, understanding the required steps, and efficiently submitting their claims. This led to frustration, increased support requests, and potential delays in claim processing.
The approach for VYV
We transformed the VYV platform by adopting a user-centric design approach. Through in-depth user interviews, site traffic analysis, and usability testing, we identified key pain points and accessibility barriers. Our design process prioritized user needs, creating a more intuitive claim declaration process and enhancing overall platform accessibility. By integrating user feedback throughout our iterative design cycle, we crafted a seamless experience that supports all users, ensuring equal access to VYV's services.
Steps taken
We focused on building an interface that delivered both functionality and a sleek, modern look.
Interface navigation: We restructured vyv claim process and interface to allow users to easily access to claims and the process of creating a new ones.
Visual hierarchy: By introducing a clear typography system, we ensured that complex data was presented in a digestible manner.
Responsive design: A mobile-first approach was implemented, ensuring seamless user experience across all devices.
Consistent brand aesthetic: We integrated vyv's branding into the interface design, using a cohesive color palette, custom icons, and dynamic illustrations.
