Background
FilmoTV is a pioneering French independent streaming platform specializing in cinema, offering both Video on Demand (VOD) and Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) services since 2008
Core problem
FilmoTV faces challenges in meeting modern user expectations for usability and personalization. Issues such as complex navigation, limited discoverability features, and accessibility gaps can hinder the user experience.
Our approach
To conduct a comprehensive UX audit of the Filmotv website using Jakob Nielsen’s 10 Usability Heuristics. The goal is to identify usability issues, improve user satisfaction, and enhance the overall digital experience for Filmotv's audience.
Steps taken
UX audit: We began with a comprehensive evaluation of the existing user experience using Nielsen Norman Group's heuristics. This step allowed us to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.

Synthesis and recommendations: After analyzing the data, we synthesized the findings into clear pain points and provided recommendations based on various UX laws (Fitts's Law, Hick's Law, Jakob's Law).
Wireframe design: We created high-fidelity wireframes with mobile first approach incorporating our recommendations, ensuring accessibility and color contrast for a better user experience.

Prototyping: Finally, we developed a full prototype for the selected user flows, allowing us to test and validate our solutions.
